Based in Rutland, Stuart uses mostly watercolours to paint landscapes in a loose and impressionistic, sometimes witty and whimiscal style. He uses what he describes as a simple, naive almost childlike perspective. His paintings depict coastal fishing towns, villages and market towns in the countryside, and industry in the north. This is his impression of Finchingfield. |
